About
Let's Frkn Dance started in 2017 with a simple idea: dancers should be able to find each other. What began as a secret Facebook group - half step, two step, three step, hip hop, swing, whatever moves you - grew into a community of over 11,000 people who share one thing in common. They show up. They get on the floor. And they want to do it somewhere good. The problem was always the same. You'd land in a new city for work, or drive somewhere new on a Friday night, and have no idea where to go. You'd ask around, get five different answers, and half of them were outdated. The floor was dead. The cover was too high. The place closed two years ago. That's what this site is trying to fix. The map is built by the community. Every hall on it was added by a dancer who's actually been there - with real hours, real cover charges, real age policies. You can check in when you get there so other people know the floor is live. You can suggest a song for the playlist. You can submit a hall we missed. If you're traveling for work and want to find somewhere to dance on a Tuesday night in Tulsa, this is where you look. If you're local and want to see who's already out tonight, this is where you check. If you're new to the area and want to meet people who dance the way you dance, this is the group. Half step, two step, three step, hip hop, swing. Come dance with us.

I started country dancing around 2010 in Central Arkansas, and what began as something I simply enjoyed quickly became a major part of my life. Dancing introduced me to new people, new places, and eventually the world of DJing. I originally started DJing because I wanted our dance community to have music that was actually danceable, which led to several years DJing at Electric Cowboy in Little Rock before continuing my career in Fort Worth. In 2018, I launched JP Mobile Media, which grew into a full-time wedding and event DJ company. Since then, dancing and DJing have taken me across Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and beyond for weddings, dance events, competitions, and plenty of unforgettable road trips. I also created Santa Sway, an annual Christmas dance competition and toy drive that brings dancers together while giving back to children in the community. I created Let’s Frkn Dance to connect dancers, help people discover new places to dance, and build the same kinds of friendships and opportunities that dancing has brought into my own life. When I’m not DJing, I love nature, traveling, exploring new places, and spending time on the dance floor. I enjoy all styles of partner dancing, with a special love for country dancing and West Coast Swing. What started on a dance floor in Arkansas has grown into a career, a community, and the opportunity to travel while doing what I love.
